In 1956, The Coertjens and his wife Monique started a small butcher's shop in Borgerhout. By working hard and focusing on quality, their business soon flourished. And the success story didn't stop there. A local snack bar was looking for a special type of frankfurter and was sure it had to be at Coertjens. The sausage became a complete success and the rest is history...
Over the years
Over the years1956 – The butcher's shop opens its doors!
1970 – Start-up of canned 'Stoverij' production, high-quality food for the home.
1990 – Start of export to France, Spain, Italy, Germany and UK.
2003 – We achieve the highest quality label (AA) according to the BRC & IFS standards.
2019 – Start-up of veggie and halal production line.
2020 – Special times make us introduce 18 new products.
2024 – Coertjens adopts a new style and thus enters a new era.
What started with only classic dishes has turned into an extensive range. With Classics, Specials and Hot Dogs!
